Doctors suspect infection in the gut

The doctors suspect that his gut has infection. Although they did not find any bacterias, but they found a lot of WBC which is an indication of an ongoing fight.

At this point, there is nothing we can do (medicine wise) and we have to let his body fight it out. His fevers are now touching 104 degrees.

Poor Shivam - he just can't catch a break right now! Maybe he is getting all of his drama and excitement out of the way at the very beginning of treatment... and the rest of the year (and beyond) will go much more smoothly)! Think of the immune memory his body will have after fighting off all these nasty bugs and viruses and infections! (Just trying to put a positive spin on a horrible situation.) He will pull through. I am sorry it is taking so long. Hugs, Mette and Baby Zoe

You sound in control of your emotions but we know how difficult this is. Words fail us in this anxious moment.

Came to know of the sad news a few weeks back. What an nerve wrecking month it has been. It can only get better from here so hang in there. It's very important you & Urmila get rest when you can. We are all praying for Shivam to recover and he surely will... It's your birthday so make the wish multiple times, it will come true.

Called up mossiji to check the progress. She says the docs are still battling with the fever which has a regular kind of time frame. Hats off to Shivam and the family. Tiny he may be, but has un-matched grit. You are each others strength, keep it up. He will come out with flying colors. Everybody says its the best docs team you have in seattle. Trust them. manjushree
