Day 5 - a quiet day

Seattle, March 23th, 2008 - It's almost one hour since this day has started. Shivam is sleeping. His oxygen and pulse and fever are normal.

I hope it stays this way for the rest of the day.

Today was mostly an un-eventful day. Being a Sunday, the hospital was almost quiet. Shivam also slept a lot. He ate some. His crankiness is getting higher every day. But give him a break. He has not moved or gotton up from his bed now for 5 days.

One sad thing is that he is not recognizing his grandpa and grandma who flew 9000 miles to come see him. It's heartbreaking. But I know things will get better. God is looking.

Today we also gave Jyotika and Kapil a small break by sending Mummy home to take care of Meera in the afternoon. Bapu was with us most of the day and he left in the evening with Rutwick who happened to be in the neighborhood.

Pankaj, my old friend from Telspace stopped by to visit us. It was such a nice feeling to see people who cared for us.

Tomorrow I am going to focus a lot on the medication that Shivam is getting daily and his future doses and schedules.
