CT Scan verdict: It could have been worse

Well, the doctor just stopped by and told the CT scan results. Shivam has massive double pneumonia.Bottom part of both lungs have collapsed and a white ball. The reason might be his constant lying on his back and excessive fluid buildup over last 8-10 days. In addition, his gut is still inflammed. All the symptoms were a result of these.

His chemo therapy for this Friday will be skipped again.

It could have been worse. Don't know what else to say.

I'm scared to ask but... what does "Bottom part of both lungs have collapsed and a white ball." mean?

It will get right when pneumonia is cured.. right?

does the doctor permit his bed to be lifted a little on the top side ? so that he can be in semi lying conditing ? is he being given additional antibiotic drugs for his lungs to clear ?

I dont know but can you ask the doctor if you can give him a slight rub on his back and that would help circulation. Try getting him elevated too for small intervals as posted by Meeta Prakash. Lets really focus on being in harmony with the universe. I believe in 'right place right time'.....Praying for all the luck in the world for dear Shivam....

Dearest Mridula and Nikhil
Doctors have pulled him out of the worst. They are competent to deal with the side effects, We ARE SURE. But yes it pains us when Shivam hurts and we wish that he should recover faster. We are all with you in our prayers.
