Saturday, April 12th, 2008 - 4:00 AM: The doctor just started a second dose of lasix (a medicine to remove water from the body). The first dose was given around 7 PM. All his stats (BP. pulse, respeartory rate) are high and oxygen low. They also took a chest and abdomen xray to see the current state. They feel that there is some water in his lungs area that is causing him to breathe harder.
They told me to make Shivam stand or hold him in my arms so that his body is under normal gravity and that will help move the excess fluids down. But that stubborn boy refuses to get up from the bed. And I love him.
It's a free roller coster ride for us :-)
